Our free childbirth class is offered every 3 to 4 months. In this one hour class we will cover as much material as possible in a short amount of time. We will discuss and practice relaxation techniques which are beneficial in reducing the pain of the contractions as well as making the contractions more effective. We will discuss and practice pregnancy exercises which will help prepare your body for labor. We will discuss and practice optimum labor positions which will help your comfort as well as encourage labor along. Lastly, we will demonstrate and practice a few comfort measures that your partner can do for you to help you through your labor.
Please wear comfortable clothes as we will be on the floor for some of the time, bring two pillows, and if you would like, an exercise mat or small blanket to place on the floor. Partners are encouraged to attend.
